WE'VE ONLY GONE & SECURED FUNDING FOR DISABLED & CARER TICKETS...
A few months ago, we launched our free ticket initiative — promising that if we secured sponsorship, we would provide funded tickets for disabled attendees and their carers.
We’re delighted to say we have now secured £10,000 in sponsorship funding to support this initiative.
The response has been absolutely incredible — and we are genuinely blown away by the level of interest and support. However, applications have significantly exceeded the funding available. We currently have around £25,000 worth of applications for £10,000 worth of sponsored tickets, and as a capacity-limited event, every complimentary ticket issued reduces the number of paid tickets we can sell.
This initiative is entirely funded through sponsorship, and while we are committed to helping as many people as possible, we must allocate the available support fairly and responsibly.
What happens next?
Because demand exceeds the available funding, we’re asking all original applicants to complete a short follow-up form.
This will help us to:
• Understand who has already purchased tickets
• Identify who requires fully funded tickets in order to attend
• Determine who may be able to attend with a significantly discounted ticket
• Offer 2027 support where appropriate
If some applicants are able to attend with a heavily discounted ticket (rather than a fully funded one), this allows us to stretch the sponsorship further and support more disabled attendees and carers overall.
Our aim is simple:
To use the available funding in the fairest way possible and maximise the number of people we can support.
A note on affordability
MacMoray Festival is already one of the most affordable festivals of its size in the country, and our margins are tight. Every complimentary ticket comes directly from our limited capacity. We hope you understand that this process is about fairness — not exclusion — and about ensuring the available sponsorship makes the greatest possible impact.
