MacMoray Festival 2026 gave birth to the closing ceremony of the century, celebrating our win of Scotland’s Live Music Awards: Festival Of The Year with you – the MacMorians! Amidst fireworks and an official I-Tunes chart topper release by Tone-X – we witnessed something amazing – and we wanted more. MacMoray Festival 2027 will now become a 3-Day Event – The Big Weekender you’ve been waiting for!
Since the first festival, we have evolved and grown year on year – and so has our outreach. Proven by our latest analytics from Meta by Facebook, we reach viewers from across the globe with visitors from not just England, but from countries such as Australia and America making the MacMoray pilgrimage! As many of our repeat attendee’s will vouch – the energy at MacMoray Festival is addictive!
Since 2022, the Cooper Park has hosted not only Scotland’s biggest festival but even bigger acts/lineups! From superstars such as The Jacksons, UB40 & The Vamps to Cammy Barnes, The Fratelli’s and many many many more! Not only do we welcome music legends to our stages, we also showcase epic local bands and acts. Below are a few of the biggest names we have been honored to grace our stage(s) with!
MacMoray Easter Festival 2022 marked the launch of an annual Easter Day festival, bringing the community and those further afield together, in order to celebrate and appreciate many generations of music in an enjoyable modern live format. Live music performances on one outdoor stage by world renowned names weren’t the only entertainment in this family event. There were Food stalls, face painting and Disney princesses adding to the light-hearted family day out which made sure all the kids were entertained. There was also a bar area situated inside a large marquee with another indoor stage where people could experience traditional Scottish music! MacMoray 2023 included 2 x large outdoor stages, more bars, more food and drink stalls, funfair and so much more – the best foundation for Scotland’s Best Festival!
With the passing of each year, the festival has grown stronger, our attendance has increased tenfold..and with it our limits! With the assistance of some brilliant sponsors throughout the years, we have captivated audiences and cultivated some EPIC lineups, bringing some of your favourite acts and bands directly to Cooper Park, to MacMoray – to your festival!
MacMoray is entering its next chapter.
For 2027, we’re taking everything people love about MacMoray and turning it up another level — with three full days of live music, bigger experiences, more artists and an even bigger festival atmosphere. From 30 April – 2 May 2027, MacMoray Festival becomes The Big Weekender — bringing together an incredible audience from across Scotland and beyond for a weekend built around great music, unforgettable moments and the unique spirit of Moray.
But this isn’t simply about making the festival bigger.
It’s about making it better.
We’re continuing to invest in the festival experience, our production, our site and our artist offering, while building on everything we’ve learned since MacMoray began. And with MacMoray now firmly established as an award-winning Scottish festival — crowned Festival of the Year at the Scottish Live Music Awards 2025 — 2027 is set to be our most ambitious chapter yet.
